This Is All You Need
“Peace to you!” (Luke 24:36)
You think money is the only thing you need. You think health is the only thing you need. You think popularity, position or someone by your side is the only think you need. Many grow frustrated when things don't happen their way.
Ezekiel 36:8-11, “But you, O mountains of Israel, you shall shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit to My people Israel, for they are about to come. For indeed I am for you and I will turn to you, and you shall be tilled and sown. I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, all of it; and the cities shall be inhabited and the ruins rebuilt. I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bear young; I will make you inhabited as in former times, and do better for you than at your beginnings. Then you shall know that I am the Lord."
Who can ever have faith to plant on a dry mountain? Who can ever have faith to rebuild a massive ruin? Perhaps, this is the picture of our lives – dry and barren land, ruined cities or unfulfilled dreams. Wait, wait, wait, God still speaks through the fragments of your brokenness. Give ear to Him.
We often do not know what we truly need — but God does. What you need is not merely provision, opportunity, people, or position. What you need is God Himself. We do not receive because we strive endlessly or pursue relentlessly. We receive because it is His will. When God wills, He brings it to pass. When He speaks, barren mountains bear fruit. When He turns toward you, ruins are rebuilt. He is the God who causes all you need to come His way in His own time— not by anxious striving, but by His sovereign hand. And when He does, you will know: Yes — He is the Lord. He is our God. He is the King of our lives.
What an honour it is to have the King planning our lives! Today, stop striving with your own strength; allow God to reveal His plan for you. Stop forcing things to happen your way at your wished time; allow God to do for you – to inspire you, to cause things to come to you and to make things happen for you His way at His appointed time.
Stop weeping over yesterday’s failures. God has a greater idea. His thoughts and ours are as far apart as heaven and earth. What seems impossible to us is effortless for Him. When God plans and inspires you, what once felt like a dream too good to be true, will turn to reality in His time. When God leads you, challenges may still arise — but He is the Overcomer. He never fails, and He will never fail those who trust in Him. God is not merely part of what we need; He is all we need.
With God, all things are possible. So, trust Him. Trust Him when you do not understand. Trust Him when you cannot see the way. Trust Him when yesterday still hurts. For nothing is impossible with God — and no life surrendered to Him is ever wasted. Trust God. This is all you need.
